Low Vitamin E Linked To Physical Decline In Older Adults

JAMA, Jan. 23, 2008

Low concentrations of vitamin E have been linked to the decline of physical function in older people.

The study looked at the potential harmful effects of poor nutrition in older adults. ...The researchers measured for several micronutrients including serum folate and Vitamins B6, B12, D and E.

The only one associated with a decline in physical function was vitamin E. They also found that for those older than 81, low concentrations of vitamin E was the strongest determinant in physical decline.

Dr Eisenstein's comments:

Another good reason to take daily multi-vitamins, many of us have not yet reached 81. If we are blessed to get to that age, it would be nice not to have suffered physical decline.
Dr. Eisenstein has formulated four customized Natural multi-vitamins and minerals. Each is specific for the unique needs of men, women, children and pregnancy.

Each vitamin comes in an easy to swallow capsule (not a rock hard pill like most
natural vitamins) and they all contain a blend of necessary Probiotics.

Dr. Eisenstein's statement on Probiotics: "We do not get enough friendly bacteria in our diet, therefore, I take and recommend a daily supplement of
Probiotics for everybody-including men, women and children of all ages, as well as pregnant and nursing mothers.

All of the Homefirst® Multi-vitamins with Probiotics contain Mixed Tocopherols(all of the different forms of vitamin E). Mixed Tocopherols help you leverage the health benefits of alpha tocopherol combined with other vitamin E compounds, particularly gamma tocopherol. Emerging science suggests that gamma tocopherol may help to maintain normal joint, heart function, as well as help
prevent mental decline .

To achieve the maximum benefits of Vitamin D3 (i.e. reduce your risk of diabetes, lower your chance of heart attacks, rheumatoid arthritis, or multiple sclerosis), I recommend that Vitamin D3 (1000 IU) should be at the front of the line in your daily multi-vitamin supplement regimen. All of the Homefirst® Multivitamins with Probiotics now contain 1000 IU of Vitamin D3 to meet this daily need. Click image for details.
