Teresa Wanczyk, D.O. Print

Information: Dr. Wanczyk is a 1980 graduate of the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, now a part of Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL. A rotating internship at the Chicago Osteopathic and Olympia Fields Medical Centers was followed by a Pediatric Residency at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center. She is Board Certified in both Pediatrics and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine & Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.

Dr. Wanczyk was raised in Western Massachusetts where she participated in the family's livelihood at its inception, now Wanczyk's Evergreen Nursery. After receiving a B.S. in Zoology from the University of Massachusetts in 1972 and a Massachusetts Teacher's Certificate in 1973, she taught 9th grade biology in the Hingham school system. A master's degree was earned in Food Science & Nutrition at the University of Massachusetts in 1977.

In private practice for twenty years, Dr. Wanczyk joined Homefirst® in June 2006 to expand the services of her specialty and has been delighted to care for people of all ages applying Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment whereever appropriate. She is especially interested in helping mothers to nurse their baby, approaching the baby and improving the ability to suck and swallow through gentle Osteopathic Treatment of the baby. Dr. Wanczyk took her first course in cranial Osteopathy where Dr. Fulford was teaching in 1977.
